Fun Thread, how does your knife compare to the rest of your EDC?

Wallet<phone<knife (Knife and phone are usually tied)<Watch

It mostly depends on what Knife I have on me since that's the only thing I change in my EDC and they vary in price so much. A few of them would surpass the watch but the one I have on me now does not.

Interesting discussion.
After paying the "introductory" price for my phone, it broke. They replaced it with a "refurbished" one at "1/2 retail."
So for me, most days, it's

Wallet < Pen < Flashlight < Watch < Knife < Phone.

On Ti Toys days, it's:

Wallet < Pen < Watch < Knife < Phone < light:

Today it's more like:

Wallet < Light < Pen = Knife < Watch <<< Phone

Phone is always the least ($15 pay-as-you-go), and my knife is usually the most (range $60-500). Watch is right around $150, which sometimes tops the knife.

phone < Silver bullion coin < pen < Atwood Prybaby < wallet < watch/knives

I hardly ever carry a flashlight, except at work, when it's a Pelican L1 (tiny little thing).

Least to most expensive...

Knives(CF SMF CC, SnG Z-wear)>Watch(Bulova precisionist)>Light(LensLight mini)>Bag(Missionworkshop Rummy)>Phone(LG Optimus G-upgrade price was 99$)>Pen(Brass investigator)>Wallet(SBL ID wallet)

question about this thread....... are keys worth the price of the car? because that should be most peoples most expensive item.

keys> cell phone> knife> watch>flashlight>wallet> paracord band> swiss army knife> ear buds> chap stick

Micra, Carhart wallet, Fenix E01 all about the same. The knife is next highest on the $$ list ,and all are usually trumped by whatever is on my wrist.

Phone > Knife > Flashlight > Wallet > Keys

I'm assuming we're not counting the things that the keys are for (house, car, etc.) or the contents of the wallets (credit cards, cash, etc.).

Based on what I paid for it, not what it's sticker price is necessarily...

Multitool (Leatherman Juice S2) > Flashlight > Knife (Spyderco UKPK) > Wallet > Bible > Phone (free upgrade)

Smartphone>Watch>Knife>Knife>Knife>Wallet (really creditcards/ID with money wrapped around it, followed by rubber band holding it together)

2 of the knives are small multi-tools on my keychain which I hate using the blade as it's too small for my preference.

Smartphone is a multi-tool in my hands, I tend to use it for everything except games and occasionally talk/text. There is a LOT you can do all the gizmo's they cram in a smartphone these days.

At the moment my knives are far more expensive than my other edc items and will remain so besides competing with my watches which I just got into and am still collecting and buying higher end watches. Since I switch up my blades on a daily routine they do not always out weigh (price wise) my other items, but 95% of the time they do. My edc items are usually a small flashlight such as the Preon 1 (my favorite as of now), regular wallet that is about $20 even though my current one needs to be replaced soon, basic pen (looking to get a Matthew Martin pen however), sometimes I carry a multitool, a watch (competes with knives price wise), and my phone (Depends on if you compare what I paid for or what they retail for).

iPhone > Mini CQC-15 > leatherman wingman > pocket butane torch > tuff lite > wallet > bic lighter

That's today, anyway. We'll see what I carry when I get my 0566...!
