fun with a 2 inch wheel

ok so im impressed with myself with the feat that i managed to pull off
this is the thinnest ive been able to work my hollow grinds on my KMG

i went with a flat grind and then heat treated it then did the hollow on a solid 2 inch wheel at the top wheel on my flat platen set up

i reall need to get a 8 or 10 inch wheel to make this easer to do

for reference the blade is 29/32 tall spine to edge and is not sharpened yet
the knife under it is 1/8 inch spine

I just shaved with one of Butch's razors, and let me tell you he gets 'em sharp and thin. :thumbup:

Can't wait to see what kind of handle you come up with for this one!

im way to shaky to shave with one
i would come out a bloody mess i would have better luck using my grinder:)

not ready to sharpen yet but i can tell you the steps i have been using
i also been playing with adding 2 strips of electrical tape to cover the spine and raise the angle a bit
320grit paper on a DMT hone (need to get a 320grit DMT ) then 600 grit DMT 1200grit DMT then one over used 9 micron belt (plan on a spyderco ultra fine hone as finish) on the same nice flat DMT
last i strop on a stick i loaded with green on one side and glued denim on the other loaded with white compound

Wow thats quite a process Butch. Where do you buy the hones? How much?
