Funny Board

www.starchefs.com/boardTopics/6/6board.html is a message board for chefs to talk about their tools. I expected to find interesting information here about how chefs use knives and what they look for in knives.

Unfortunately, I was surprised to find that the board has been essentially ruined by Cutco spammers. It's sad, but the Cutco representatives say some funny stuff in order to get you to buy their inferior products. For example; a Cutco guy said something to the effect of, "Our knives use the great blade steel 440-A, which is of course two grades higher than the 440-C you find in other knives." They also spew all kinds of nonsense words to confuse buyers and their "testing" consists of deceptive bar tricks. Very humorous.

I remember those Cutco spammers... several years ago on rec.knives! They're still using the exact same lines, and it seems that guy in silicon valley is still in college and finding Cutco a great way to help him earn money for school!

I see they're still using "grade A" steel. Shame on all you custom knifemakers who use "grade C" steel in your knives!
