Hey all,

(not Emerson specific - I know other knives have been produced with the wave) but what are some of the funny things people have said about your WAVE.

Back story - Today a co-worker of mine was struggling to cut a zip tie. Normally I wouldn't pull my knife out for a co-worker in MY workplace as it is less than knife friendly, but regardless I pulled out my Emerson mini Commander and handed it to my co-worker closed. He had been pretty cool in the past so assumed he wouldn't turn me into HR - lol. After I handed it to him he began to cut the zip tie. After he was done - he began to kinda study the knife and noticed the wave, his response - "Right on Dude, your knife has a bottle opener right on the blade! How's it work?". I kinda snickered and responded - "actual better than you might think".

Confusion was usually the first response, mainly because they didn't understand how the knife opened so quickly. The second response was usually, Wow! That's cool....

The only knives I have that have a wave style opening are some Cold Steel blades, so not something I normally carry for daily use(I love my Spartan and Rajah 2, but they are not workplace knives, lol). I have brought the Spartan(and a 4'' Ti-Lite) in before to show friends who wanted to see them, and the general reaction to the wave opening is "Holy shit!" or "Dude that's badass!"

I recently was showing my friend my waved endura. He thought it was cool but said, "I'd cut my dick off." Lol

A friend called the Wave on my Bad Monkey a "doo-hickie". That's about it though.

If your co-worker was impressed with the bottle opener feature of your waved knife, show him how to open a beer bottle with a 1911.

Tell me you can't learn life skills in the U.S.military.

Best.

people who've seen me use my waved delica as a bottle opener thinks its about the coolest thing ever to have a knife 'with a built in bottle opener', i showed it to a couple people who were into knives and they thought how it opened the blade was really cool.
