Fur trapper/mountain man 'hawk?

Been thinking of getting together a mountain man kit in the fur trapper era and that's a bit early for my Bowies. I'm thinking of picking up a good 'hawk.

I am really leaning hard toward the Camp Tomahawk from Fort Turner.

Would this be close enough to a period-correct piece?

I want the thickened hammer poll, even though that may throw off the authenticity a bit.
 
I think I'd be inclined to go with the lighter Trapper head, and then use the longer Camp handle, or a standard 19" hawk haft/handle.
