It is with great frustration that I have to announce a further delay on the 1084 delivery. The mill rep called me today and explained that there was a problem with the forge billets sticking together in the ovens before they go through the rollers. By the time the problem was resolved they had cooled down to much for that days rolling. You can't make this stuff up!

They are rolling square stock for the next 3 weeks and have the billets going in for the second round on the 23rd of September. This of course means that I will not be able to bring any to The Ashokan Hammer-In. Any deliveries for that weekend will need to be shipped.

I wish there was some recourse but it seems all I can due is ask for your patience a little while longer.

With Regret,
Aldo Bruno

Are you sure that this company is not being run by Obama-world? With that many delays and excuses it must be the "guvmint". Maybe when we all go broke from lack of steel, we can get a bailout!

Sam,

The frustrating part is that I have no choice.

Chip,

Please don't use the broke word. Any more of this and I will be.

No worries Aldo. It'll get done when it gets done and we'll get some fine steel soon after that.

Hey Bud-

How's the delay on that 4th sheet of O1 I paid for last October coming??? :)

Or the trade for 1084 I asked about? :)

Good thing I got 200 lbs. of last year's melt.:)
(Heh, heh, heh....)[evil laugh]

Aldo, I thinkwe can all understand or at least sympathize the frustrations you are dealing with. I had a big set back with my new grinder that just frustrated the heck out of me last week. I should be set to get started in a few days though. Now all I need is some steel to work with. All I have is a foot of 2 x 3/16 O1 right now. Can I get you to go ahead and ship the 1095 I ordered and I'll send you the difference for shipping? I'll try to give you a call later to work it out.

Murph

Reynaldo, the 1085 is going for $3.80 per pound. If you're interested E- Mail me at njsteelbaron@gmail.com and let me know what you're looking for.

Murph, it will be out Tues.

Nick, I'll send you both if you want. Just got a hold of 2 pieces of 1/8" x 51/2" x 36" O-1. That should give you an extra inch on the original order and if you want to add a few hundred pounds of the 1084 to it that would be fine. I'll send the 0-1 out on Tuesday as well.

Troop, you have 195 pounds more then I have.
