Rodriguez, I'm sorry you were subjected to that. Please continue with your thread.

Nice sow too. I don't suppose you happen to know what she weighed, do you? I got one in TX some years back and she was about 130. The guy on whose property I was hunting had a mount of a boar that he said was pushing 350 lbs!

Great pics !! Thank you for sharing them

Thanks guys for the support. I'm not really much of a killer, but I did grow up in a big hunting family and we eat a lot of meat. I have some elk jerky hanging outside right now. As for the pig, I raise 1 or 2 every year. We butcher them here at my house the week before Christmas. It's a big family gathering and we call them Matanzas. We cook everything except the stomach and guts. Hell I grew up eating even the ears with my grandpa. That's what I buy and use my knives for. It is a cool experience that not many know anything about. Guess you could call it a dying tradition. Food, beer and family! That's what it's about. I don't care much for roasting lettuce myself.

Great review and pics, way down here in Cajun country, roasting a pig is called a cochon de lait. There's not much on a pig that's wasted. I can still find pickled pig's feet/tails and ears down here.
Yeah, it's about family and tall tales when they all get together......Good times !!!!

Nice review and pics!

My father would slaughter one of the cattle from our dairy herd every now and then, which is why we had a few freezers :D

Hahaha - is that what these poor vegans have resorted to these days to make their diet a little less bland

I was surprised, irritated and then immediately dismissive of the misguided, ignorant comments from some veggiesforbrains. This is an honest portrayal of where food actually comes from and how it becomes food. Good, practical review of a solid knife in actual use. Thanks rodriguez7.
