Fusion Battle Huck Fin

Nice! Thanks for the pics guys. I have not been this excited while waiting for a blade in a very long time. I found myself day dreaming about it during dinner the other night while my wife was talking to our guests, and I fell right out of the conversation.

A few times, years ago, I was pitching a scaled down TTKZ. This I think tics all the boxes and then some. :)!!!

First of all, I gotta say, nice blade.
Second, I love mine with maroon micarta on competition finish.
But.... I have to say I’d love it more without the fin. It looks cool and all, but I can’t for the life of me figure out what it (the fin) is good for. It’s like an appendix, hanging there on the back of the blade, getting in the way. I guess if you’re going to relegate it purely to the apocalypse that is unlikely, the back corner could be sharpened enough to cut its way out after a slash/stab. Or, if you wanted to make it more useful as a working knife, subdue the corner so you preserve the forward balance for chopping, make the corner less of a nuisance in utility tasks.
I’ll keep it, and beat it, as it has a decent balance, and fantastic fusion grip. And it is a beautiful CF blade. I just don’t particularly like the fin.

BTW, the fin on mine wasn’t sharpened. The back corner was rather acute, but it wasn’t sharp. And good luck getting the part of the fin closest to the tip sharpened. Unless you have a belt grinder, that’s gonna be a long time comin’. The fin widens out toward the tip on mine, to about a 3/16” or so flat on the spine.

Don’t get me wrong. I wouldnt want it sharpened. Heck, I don’t even want it there (which is why I ordered the bigun without the fin). And I love the knife overall. Just cold on the fin.

Thanks for the like . You are absolutely correct on the functionality of the fin. Not really sure what use I'll have for the fin .. I guess it just adds to the cool factor of the blade. Like you said, if it were completely sharpened, I could see this doing decent damage in a zombie apocalypse scenario lol. You can back slash your way thru a few zombies :D.

What I really like about the knife, is the combination of Fusion grip and pointyness the blade has. which makes it perfect for a variety of things (stabbing, chopping, throwing, ect.).

Bro, I hope it gets to you soon... You are going to love this blade. It is a perfect size for a multitude of tasks ;). I cant find myself to put it down lol.

Wow, nice! Mine arrives next Wednesday, and this will be my first ever Busse. I didn't know the fin was sharpened! Now I'm even more excited. I agree this looks to have a straight knife look to it, and is basically a kukri you can stab with as well. This is officially the most excited I have been about a blade.

Congrats on this being your first Busse blade . Wednesday can't get here any sooner, huh lol. I'm sure after you receive this blade in hand, you'll end up with a really bad case of the Swine flu :D Lol. Be prepared to get it bad.

Funny thing is, I was at a loss of words once received, this blade came to me so unexpectedly. I really didn't think I was going to get this blade so soon. Thank God for those shop credits lol ;).

Awesome blades  and they've always intrigued me. I like this one more so than the KZ just from looks, but man, I gotta hold one and swing it before I'd commit to it.

Get well soon Chad! That's some bad sht brother! .... seen a picture of his leg- first off, aint sexy at all LOL! - and not for the queasy  It's only going to get better when it starts juicin' (need an updated picture when she peeks Chad)- Looks like something you'd just say hell with it and grab a MOAB and whack it off - I have a new appreciation for the phrase "Aint nothing, just a scratch" ... it actually scares the hell out of ya and that's the truth right there, could happen to anyone.

It arrived! I'm sure the members here have heard things like this time and time again from new guys like me, but this is my favorite knife I own now. The ergonomics of this handle is outstanding and I love the rough texture of the micarta. Now I'm surely hooked and can't wait for my FMV8, Forsaken HOG Gemini, and FMV14!
