Future availability of Hinderer knives?

I apologize if anything I said is against the rules or offensive, I am only saying that I would love to have a second one at the right price!

Please excuse me asking this stupid question as I am very color blind but what are the colors of these?

Thanks, by far the highest quality, hardest use, finest all around knives I've ever owned. I'm a very proud Papa! :D Here's another family portrait:

We would all love to buy these awesome knives on our terms. However, there simply are not enough of them to fill demand. As for worry about the cost, try to focus more on the value.

I would like to help and tell you how I get my hinderers, but I guess its everyman for themselves on this forum, good luck.
Please send me a PM too. I could always use some help.
Jonsa,

Please feel free to shoot me an email and tell me where I can pick one up for a good price, I would love to have a second one. Sadly, I don't have any friends who are active duty, firefighter, police, etc.

Thanks,

-Bob
If active duty, first responders, etc. are buying knives from Hinderer Knives for their friends I think that would be abusing the privilege, yes?

Jes' use the heck out of your great new knife, and have no worries. You won't be able to value the pleasure of having and using such a terrific tool right now and here.

Well, I think you've talked me into it. I really like the knife, and have no good reason to sell it other than that its expensive, so I will probably just bring it into my EDC rotation.

Laudable decision:thumbup: Used to agonize over such decisions years ago, Look at it as "No one deserves to own, use, and enjoy that knife more than you!"
Doubt that you didn't work to earn the $$ to own it - You deserve the payoff. Enjoy.

As I was explaining to Mr Green last night over email, I like USING nice things. I shoot Accuracy International rifles, and use Schmidt and Bender scopes. These are very expensive items, but because of their exclusivity and quality, if something better comes along and I am no longer using my gear, I can sell it for about 90% of what I paid. Same concern with this Hinderer, though on much smaller scale. In posting this thread, I was just looking for some reassureance that the prices are here to stay. If something else comes along and I am no longer using this knife, I would be happy for selling it for 80-90%, but at 30% it would be too little return. I believe Mr. Green convinced me though.

not a first responder etc, just stubborn persistant and got little lucky in finding a source that could sell me a couple xm-18's a couple different times for a price that I could afford to use these knives for what they were built for which is use. Problem is to me this is the perfect knife for my needs so the only other knife I could think of getting was another one.

I'm sure they are "nice" knives, but I refuse to pay ridiculous markups due to exclusivity. Ony time will tell.

I hope I am not out of line asking this question. My son is active duty Air Force. I would love for him to have a Hinderer knife to show my appreciation for his service to our great country. I am very proud of him and want to pay for it as a gift to him. Is that possible? Or would he have to pay for it? Guess I could always give him the money to purchase direct, but would rather use a card, and have it sent to him. How long is the waiting list for an XM18 or XM24?

Not out of line at all but you need to send a private message (PM) or email to Rob Orlando of Rick Hinderer Knives and he will answer your questions.

Thanks for the response Mike. He is slated to go back to the sandbox in March and will be their for 6 months. I will email Rob to get some details. Thanks again.

@tradestar
That is a great and generous gift. I wish you the best on this quest. Thank you to your Son for his service, you and yours for support, and all who selflessly serve or have served.
