Future Beckerhead stripping attempt.

Ah man, I guess I read to much into the title. Phew!

Looks great, and I see it took a little work. I will probably do mine once I used the blades on my Beckers enough, where a lot of the coating has worn off and use the techniques employed. Appreciate the info.

Uh yea...didn't want to mandolin my fingers off. I figure after a few batoning sessions those lines will blend in with the scratches.:D

I am just getting into the Becker line of knives. Does Becker offer a non coated BK2?

This thread is what sealed the deal for me on getting the Becker line of knives. I would like to get the BK2, BK7, and BK9.

No they dont but stripping the knife and sanding and polishing it is the joy of it. You can customize it to make it "your" knife. Durable dependable and under 80 bucks for a great knife that can do just about anything. :)

Whew. I got scared when I read the title of this thread. Where do you find sandpaper with that fine grit? The highest I can easily find is 600.

common auto parts stores typically carry the stuff up to 2500 grit

Dang, that looks great. Nice work all around.
I just stripped mine and started beating on it. :p

Wait, so you mean I grabbed a whole bunch of dollar bills for nothing...?
