Future Production Collaborations?

Not sure where this belongs, but it's related to customs, mods please move this to the right thread, thanks :)

Over the few years I've been into knives, there's been quite a few collaborations between custom knife makers and production companies. Some which I've owned are SOG & Brous, Kershaw & Emerson & KenOnion, and CRKT & Doug. Others which I've heard of are BOKER & Geoff, and quite a few others including multiple spydies.

So here's where my curiosity comes in. Does anyone here who are/following Custom knife maker have plans of doing a few collaborations? Thanks!!

I'd love to see Gavko do a collab. Am I asking for too much? I love Gavko's designs but I can't afford to pay $400-500 for a knife. Gotta pay for college tuitions which are draining my funds.

From how I am understanding your post, I would say that the ball is mostly in the court of the Production manufacturers, rather than a whim of the 'smaller' makers.

I am under the understanding that if a Custom maker has a good design, shows desirability and sustenance, then the eyes may open at a production company.

You mention Gavko. I've met him, he's a good egg and has made cool knives. This is one of the largest areas of the internet to get exposure and I daresay if I have ever seen his work here.

Someone more knowledgable than me can add in.
