Friends, please join me is wishing our friend, and brother collector, Paul Kessler good luck and a speedy recovery from hip replacement surgery this coming Thursday.

In keeping with the tradition of this forum that all posts should contain custom and/or knife content please note the following.

The surgery will be accomplished with a relatively sharp knife, and although it has not yet been confirmed, I understand the hip device will be damascus forged from the leaf spring off a 1947 Studebaker and billet of W2 from Don Hanson.

I hope my friend and brother, Paul has sunny skies and a tail wind through this and then when it's over I hope he no longer walks like a girl.;)

11/13/14 Just got off the phone with PK. Surgery went well…..got the new hip and I think he got a boob job as well. (Although he may have been talking about his nurse) He is in great spirits, (all doped up), but will still probably walk like a girl. The main thing on his mind was to thank all of you guys for the well wishes and let you know he'll be in touch as soon as possible. More later from the PK himself.

My mom went thru 2 and she's 81 so Paul should crush this

Good post Paul (the poster.) God speed Paul (the peg legger.)

My Dad had both hips replaced. Worked out great. His only wish was he hadn't waited so long to get them done.
 
I had my left hip done two years ago. It was so easy, it was almost fun! And it's titanium!

Paul, I hope yours goes even better than mine. :)
 
Funny thread actually. I know Don can spring temper the stuff as he did it to my pocket clip.

Jon,

Paul is waiting until Thursday to get his hip replaced. Brian Hochstrat won't have the rest of the engraving finished until then.
