FYI: Insingo with carbon fiber inlays is "happening"!

I actually hope it is completely stonewashed, but if it is not it will not be a problem. Either way I WANT ONE!!!!!!!

As a follow-up to my previous post, I spoke with an employee at CRK who provided me additional info. Although they did not refer exactly to the bladehq exclusive as the details are still being worked out, they did say that CRK does not and does not plan to offer a polished insigno blade. Without them directly saying so, this leads me to believe that if the carbon fiber inlayed 21 is offered with an insigno blade, that it will indeed be stonewashed. Now only if we could convince them to blast the handles as well. ;)

I'm a bit skeptical as to whether or not this configuration will actually be a reality. Chris has said on multiple occasions that they will not polish an insigno blade as it removes too much steel and leaves the blade too thin. The fact that Bladehq has not received a sample knife to take a picture of makes me question whether or not CRK has actually confirmed this order. I for one would be even happier if they offered this configuration with a stonewashed insigno blade, which I think is more realistic based on previous offerings from CRK. I guess only time will tell.

We asked them if they could do the Insingo blade, and they said yes. I will have to verify what finish the blade will have.

Lol, I asked about other inlays a few times over the past year and they kept telling me that the Insingo couldn't be polished due to its thinner grind. Seems like CF would fall into the Micarta territory as a more readily used inlaid Seb.
I would bet anything it will be stonewashed, but who knows what the Ti will be.
I'm just glad they are doing something else with the Insingo, which I know has a lot of love including myself.

In the meantime...

Count me in!
I hope that the handle isn't satin finished, although it would be sexy.

If the handle is blasted and the blade stonewashed:eek: I'll be needing one and that's a problem:(

There is a pic on the USN of one that a guy got, only one BladeHQ had. It has a polished handle and blade, but it is the spearpoint.

Here is one that he posted. Again not my photo.

That is sweet! Can't wait to get my hands on one. I Already have a damascus blade on order that I think will really compliment the CF inlay. Well that and silver hardware.

I'm pretty sure the Insingo can't be polished, at least that's how it used to be but things change who knows?

As sweet a news this is, the real "cream" would be notification of a small Sebenza 25, or even better yet............a small 25 Insingo with damascus and possible 1-piece carbon fiber inlays. Ok, maybe my pipe dream overlapped a bit with release date reality but still. Since handling and owning the 25, it is so much more ergonomic and that next level up on the 21 that all new news of new knives released involving the 21 seem to be broadcasting in black and white. Anyone else who has owned or handled the 25 feel the same way, the wave of the future will be the 25.

Dammit, I'm in trouble. Already went through my tax return money. These are too nice to pass up.

Any idea when this will happen? Not really familiar with how these runs work. This month? Next month? Next year?

I'll be getting one for sure no matter how it is finished. I am extremely excited for this variation!

Does anyone know when these are going to be available? I placed a pre-order for a large and mall and good and ready to use them. Well, I may not have the money to buy them after BLADE SHOW.
