g-10 bushcraft is out

Got mine today. It is a serious piece of hardware. It feels comfortable, solid, and balanced in my hand. The G10 is really pretty. This knife is built like a brick s***house. I haven't done anything other than fondle it briefly while at the office. But, I'm very impressed with it so far.

Let's see some pics from the proud owners

Ask and receive. This is an awesome blade. The handle is built like a brick. Fit and finish perfect. I cannot find one single thing wrong with this knife. Not wild over the sheath but it is ambidextrous which is a big plus for this southpaw!

I would like to see one in another steel other than O1. My hands must sweat acid, because that material rusts like mad when I use it. Other carbon non-stainless steels do not seem to react with me like this alloy does. :grumpy:
A2, 1095, 3v, ... all work well and do not seem to rust in my hand.

Hey Liveitloud,

Thanx much for the great shots.

Hi David,

When we first began the project, I mentioned making what we called (at the time) the "NASA" version. Full flat CPM-S90V with a formed carbon fiber handle, Boltaron sheath. The first run was a disaster becasuse of wood problems, so this is really our first run with Chris Claycomb's design. If reaction is acceptable to the design, I'd like to try the "NASA" version as well as other steels liked by "Bushcrafters". We'll need another name though. I don't think NASA would appreciate our using their name. :o

Hi Sal, I love the Bushcrafter. I bought one of the burl scaled seconds this spring, and all I can say is wow. It instantly became my favorite bush knife. I found myself reaching for it every time I went out. Then last week, somebody stole it from my back pack. :grumpy: I don't suppose you have any more of the older burl handled still kicking around the factory? I better start saving up for the new Micarta version.

I am sure that this design will be greatly accepted.

After having used mine (the original and just picked up the G10 version), this is a real winner. Do not change the blade design or handle shape. I don't really need another one, but if you have an outdoorsperson you need a gift for, this is a great choice.

My brand spankin new spyderco bushcraft G10 will be here tomorrow or the next day..ive never wanted a knife more than a spyderco bushcraft..when the wooden handled ones came out i was totally bummed because i couldnt afford one, and then when they had the handle issues i was shocked..so when i saw the new g10 handled bushcraft knife come onto the market it was a done deal...i cant wait to hanve it in my hands....wow...i sound oddly obsessed....:D

That would be terrific. I would certainly pick up one of those, specifically to use - no safe queen on that one needed. Here are some potential names:
Spyderco BushcraftUK Peerless
Spyderco BushcraftUK Cardinal
