G-10 Shallot?

I was talking knives to a friend today, and I mentioned that while I love my Kershaws, I don't like all-metal handles. I had a Shallot in black and one in regular uncoated steel, and I switched so the uncoated blade was on the black handle. That looked really nice, but I still didn't like the metal handle. He said: "You know, the G-10 Shallot is coming out soon."
After some Google-fu and a BladeForums search, there's nothing about this knife. Nothing. Nowhere. Does it not exist? Man, I'd kill six or seven rabbits for a G-10 Shallot. Uncoated, polished Sandvik blade, plain edge. Linerlock, G-10 handle scales. No liner on the non-locking side. Four-way pocket clip. Lanyard hole. It might replace my Tremor. But I think this was just a mistake on the other guy's part.

(Don't kill rabbits unless you're going to eat them.)

I'd take a G-10 shallot just the way they did the G-10 Leeks. I think alot of folks would like that.

First I've heard of G-10 handled Shallot. Sounds like a fine idea to me though.

G-10 handled shallot would be sweet!
I'll take mine with blue G-10 on a stonewashed blade.
Oh yeah, only G-10 on the non lock side, preserving the framelock.
Plus, I'd like to see some anodized standoffs instead of a back spacer..........I think Elmax would be a nice steel choice.:D

You guys could make the rest of 'em any way you like but this is how mine should end up. Thanks so much, this is a great idea!!

;):p

This sounds like pie in the sky stuff to me, but... I'll take one featuring the new strip lock. Super light weight, long skinny blade. Sounds sweet to me.

But it's apparent they would sell. :D I for one would love to see a Ti/G-10/S30V (or Elmax) Shallot. I like knives that are big and heavy, makes them feel secure. Knowing they are Kershaw... all the better.

Asthetically great knife, but the traction plan lacks. The G-10 would push the price up too much. It is already pretty expensive.

To cut down on additional tooling, how about leaving the lock side the way it is and replacing just the other side with a G10 slab (or CF if going back to pie on the sky)?

Take out the speedsafe spring and just replace the non-lock side with G10 or micarta of your choice, then you can add the standoffs. Gonna need the backspacer if you want to keep it AO though (i think).

I've got a Shallot with an Aluminum slab on the non-lock side. I dropped a CPM S110V blade in it. The whole knife is 22gm lighter than the all SS model.

I heard that they made about 1000 Shallots with a plain edge CPM S-30-V blade. I only have 3. Beat the bushes. Good luck!
