Is it possible to dye G-10? I am waiting for a knife with a G-10 handle that is multi-colored, and would like to be able to dye it one, dark color, and wonder if it is possible? If it is possible what dye is recommended. Thanks. John

I don't believe you will be able to do that. The fact it doesn't "bleed out" or change color while working it tells me it is a material with definite features you can count on being stable.

It may be possible. I have dyed Delrin and other synthetics using a very strong solution of Rit dye.

If you're going darker I think it's possible but it would be a very thin surface only. Little to no penetration. So any sanding or buffing would likely remove it.

I know it seems illogical, but it often works very well.
