Thanks for the video. That is awesome. So it's kind of a slipjoint then. No real locking mechanism. Very cool. I hope someone gets this. G&G are some of the most creative cats out there.

Yeah, when you hold it in your hand it is rock solid. I'd keep it if I didn't just buy new ski's and boots... ;)
 
That knife is deceptive in its function. If I'm understanding the mechanism correctly, the blade is as secure as a balisong would be when flipped open, as in the stronger you grip the handle, the stronger the lock will be (unless you somehow snap the entire thing because of a Herculean death grip which I can't fathom). There's no way the blade can close on that knife if you grip the handle and squeeze. The two pivot points prevent this from happening. To say that knife is a slip joint would be erroneous.

Very astute observation harkamus. That totally makes sense. I wonder if the carbon fiber would be slippery. The curves look like it'd fit the grip pretty well. Sorry for cluttering your thread. It's an awesome knife. Good luck with the sale.
