I'd say the handle girth is about right for a small to medium hand.
Regarding fit, I find it hard to describe. It's a highly personal thing. Some knives feel just right, and some not quite so right. Not so easy to objectively verbalize. What one person thinks is ideal, another may not.
The knife is similar to the old Shrade Sharpfingers, with better craftsmanship and materials. Mr. Drew makes a great knife.
