I purchased this direct from the maker a few years ago. The axe has never been carried or used. It is heat treated, high carbon steel, and forged from an old stone mason's hammer. Hickory handle is 12 - 3/4" long. Axe head is 8 - 1/2" long with a 3" cutting edge. The spike is not sharpened. Leather sheath with belt loop is included.
