This knife has never been carried or used. I purchased it a number of years ago as I have long been a fan of G Sakai and the unique lock interested me.
Price $170 OBO
This RARE G. Sakai early 90's vintage folder was hand made in Seki, Japan, and is a true Collector's dream. G. Sakai makes fine knives for some of the worlds best known knife companies. Their quality is superior as almost everything they make is handmade by some of the most highly skilled craftsmen anywhere.
This is the Clutch-Lock Titanium folder. At one time, this knife was imported into the US by Spyderco. Now it can be found in Japan under G. Sakai's own name.
Features: 7-1/8" overall length, 3" blade, 4-1/4" closed. Fine edged AUS-8 stainless steel blade has a drop-point design and has thumb ribs on the back of the tang. Clutch-lock design - The slide bar, incorporated with a ball bearing, connected to thumb stud on blade is being inserted into the slot formed one end tang of blade when the knife is in the open position. When you push the thumb stud forward, the slide bar moves out from the slot bias of spring tension & lock is released. The handle is made out of blue anodized Titanium with a Mother of Pearl onlay. Polished stainless steel pocket clip on the back. All stainless steel fasteners. Brand new and comes in original G. Sakai green Samurai box.
This is a great, high-tech knife. It operates smoothly and is very light, but strong. These high quality knives are rare and impossible to find. Collector's Note: This knife is NEW in the Box/Mint condition - we only have one piece to sell.
