Is there any chance that Spyderco would consider makeing this a regular production set of blades in various G10 colors?

Well there use to be a g10 version of both, and they come up on the exchange every now and then. But there's no way to tell what spyderco is going to do in the future. They seem extremely busy as it is lately, so I wouldn't count on one coming out this year.

Never can tell with Spyderco, but I'd bet against it. The original black G-10 ones didn't sell very well, so I can't see Sal putting them back into the regular lineup, much less in a variety of colors. A Sprint Run, or a sponsored Exclusive, is probably the best you could hope for.

A black G-10 FFG Endura would be very similar to the Police III, and i dont think its in Spydercos interest to produce a cheaper rival to the Police.

Would like to see both of these regularly produced in G10 as well........and while your at it throw in the stretch. Would love to see a G10 stretch.

You don't even see many people making custom scales for the Delica/Endura. The nested liners really make that difficult. One forum member used a CNC setup to mill some G-10 Delica scales, but I haven't even seen those around for a while.

I'd like to see someone mill out some full liners to match the G-10 version of the Delica/Endura and sell them so custom scales could made easier.

All I want is a regular VG10 mass produced (ie non sprint) black G10 Stretch. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SAL PLEEEEEEASSSSE!!!!

In the Delica size range it seems that there are a lot of Spyderco models with other scale materials. In the Endura size there aren't as many but there are a few. It seems that if you want a blade of 4" or nearly 4" shouldn't you get a Military?

g-10 D&E didn't sell well??? so how come no one's willing to offer theirs on the bay? i've been stalking those for two years now.

Good question; even "beaters" are selling for $100+ now. Just because something didn't sell well in the past doesn't mean it won't in the future. Perhaps the G10 versions were ahead of their time, with consumers being accustomed to the no-nonsense plastic scales and the cheaper cost. I think there a lot more Spyderco fans now who would love a shot at owning these. However, I'd prefer some color other than black (orange, forest green, foliage green, brown).

G10 Endura/Stretch. Lets make it happen Spyderco! It will sell. Production or sprint I'll be first in line.

I believe I saw Mr. Glesser say that the G10 was NOT favored over the FRN. If memory serves, he said that knives with G10 handles don't sell as well as the ones with FRN handles.

Or take the route I did and get a Calypso sprint.

Possibly because all of them were sold, either initially or in the first couple years after they were disco'd, to folks who are either hanging on to them or bought them because of their full liners and fitted them with nicer scales. Forum "afi" interest does not necessarily mean a knife will sell well, it only insures that a relatively small number of them will sell very quickly. Regular users, faced with the choice of a $60 knife in "plastic A" or the same knife in "plastic B" for double that, will invariably go for the $60 version.

g-10 with flat ground solid zdp 189 blade for less than $130. :D
Would be great, but it's probably not realistic. Back in 2009, when MSRP for the regular FRN Delica 4 was $90, the G-10 version's was $180. FRN one is now $105 in VG-10, and ZDP bumps that up by $50, to $155. Assuming as similar price jump for G-10 today, you'd be looking at $260 ((105 X 2) + 50) which would put street price in the $156 to $174 range.

And, to correct an error in my earlier post, the G-10 on the originals was foliage green, not black.

People talk about it, here is one recently: http://www.spyderco.com/forums/showthread.php?60215-Zdp-189-and-g10&highlight=endura+g10+zdp189

Because of the ZDP, it will be more than that for sure, but I'd still want one even at a higher price range.

What I want may not reflect what will sell but I think that an Endura/Delica G10 in VG10 for $100-$130 will move. The latest Calypso sprint in similar build priced at $130 is practically sold out 4 months from release and we're talking about the Delica/Endura here. If it ever happens, and it's with VG10, I may attempt to switch the blade to ZDP (or even SuperBlue!) so that wouldn't stop me from getting the build I like! One good sign that it will sell is that you never see it on the exchange anymore and when it does, it's gone fast.

I'm a big proponent of FRN, I carry one model or another practically everyday and myself wanting a G10 version is not a slight to FRN at the very least. Variety makes it fun. We also should consider those who dislike FRN and prefer G10 (many of those apparently) and refrain from picking up a Delica/Endura/Stretch because of their misconceptions of FRN and would jump on a G10 version.

In short, I think we're ready for a Delica/Endura/Stretch G10 bonanza.

...I'd suggest grey G10. Not because it dirties easily but because it gives us the option to be able to Rit dye it to many potential colors along with the cool grey. Cleans easy with magic eraser too.
