G10 flexibility?

Add to all of the above- G10 is brutally strong material. It can be ground with relative ease compared to other materials, so if the stresses on the pivot are such that it might cause some undue wear, I can see it failing before a steel liner. Under normal or somewhat above normal repetitive use I cannot imagine a problem. I have a CS recon with no liner and it is extremely tough - would vouch for it before stainless liners and FRN or any combination of common materials. FWIW I have an AL Mar Eagle ultralight that uses micarta and no liners and the G10 is in a whole other class. That said, I expect the blade would break before the micarta and expect no less of the G10. It will flex and will break but not under any sort of normal or moderately above normal use, and makes for a very light weight knife.

Why don't they make eyeglass frames from the stuff?
