G10 Liner with Carbon Fiber Scales

I apologize for asking an elementary question - searching did not find an answer to the following question. If I am going to use G10 liners inside carbon fiber scales, should the G10 be glued to the CF? If so, thickness is pretty obviously an issue (?), so epoxy or similar adhesives would be out, right? Is CA a good approach? Something else?

why would epoxy be out? the excess just squishes out when you clamp it, same as when you use vulcanized rubber liners. and yes, you'll want to glue them together.
