I picked up some thin G10 to see if I could cut this stuff on my vinyl cutter. Not happening, the cost of replacing the quickly dulled blades is way more than the value of this project. So...I cut these by hand with an Xacto knife and shaped them with my Kerhsaw Leek. Sandpaper would work for shaping, too, but that's what I had on me.

Anyway, I started with some .030" Neon (zombie) green G10. I "traced" them with the Xacto and then kept following that path until is was scored enough to break out cleanly, like a jigsaw puzzle piece. I taped them to the grips and drilled the holes out with a 3/16" bit and then bolted them to the grips for shaping. One set done, the second is in process. Once they're finished, I think I'll stick them on my FPR BK16 that's headed for a stipping party tonight.

You can kind of see the thickness here:

Yep, any fiberglass based material is going to dull cutters fast.:(

Like the neon green with the black, BTW..

Where are you finding that thin G-10. That's cool.

Those look so cool man! I tried to make some liners for my 9 out of xbox game cases and failed miserably. If you ever have an extra set laying around you'd think about unloading or trading for shoot me a PM I really want some for my 16.

P.S. I see you broke your 16 out of it's safe, huh?

Neon Green or Blaze Orange? PM me your address and I'll send you a set.

I think I just figured out a much better way to cut these. Once I get home and try it, I may have found a way to save a couple of hours of work.

Im also curious how the liners will affect the fit in my/your kydex sheath.... ;) inquiring minds need to know! lol

What were you thinking, picking something so hard???

I made these from scrap .060 Kydex that were too small for use anywhere else -- trace them out with a pencil and rough cut them out with heavy duty scissors, finish them off with sandpaper.

Guess Zombie green Kydex is hard to find! :D Never mind...

K9-Handler...you've got the winning combo there: Peanut butter scales on orange liners! That's my favorite!!

I really like those liners, do you sell them? If and when I get a tweener, I think liners would look great! (In orange of course!)
