G10 liners for the tweeners - a work in progress

Nice work, G-10 is definetly a better option over that "vulcanised plastic" which is just compressed paper.

Neon Green or Blaze Orange? PM me your address and I'll send you a set.

I think I just figured out a much better way to cut these. Once I get home and try it, I may have found a way to save a couple of hours of work.

I just PM'd you, thanks so much man that is so generous of you, very blown away by your offer. Everyone, expect lots of pictures when they get here!

Yeah, I have some of the vulcanized stuff in black and it's cheap. I was able to cut the g10 with lexan scissors, then cleaned up the edges. I can't get the screws in, so I'll have to pick up some 5/8" screws in the morning. Here is the best I can show it without screwing it together. It still works with the sheath that TB made for it, though it's really tight. A little use and I'm sure it'll loosen up.

looks good, I need to try the liners out on my 16, The ones I handled this weekend felt pretty good ''chubby''

Lookin' good mrn8! I tried doing some with an old DVD case, but pooched it almost as soon as I started them. :o I found some .039" (1mm) G10 for a pretty good price online and I think I'll give that a shot.

I finished these up. Since then, I've found some better methods and made up a set for RogueBowie that I just mailed off this week. I like his set better, but I've got plenty of material left...

The sheath is an early Thrillbilly creation. It still works with these liners in, but I doubt I could go any thicker without reheating it for a looser fit.

Here's how it is now with the liners installed and stainless phillip / flat 8-32x5/8" screws:

These liners are in the mail. I hope they work out well!

Dang mrn8, you've got me drooling on my keyboard! Can't wait to slap these puppies on my knife when they get here! (Still gotta go to the hardware store today too to pick up some longer screws).

Those look great and I especially like the orange. Nice work!

The phillips head screws are a tight fit, but they'll work. Socket head screws would fit just like the factory screws. I opted to change it up, since I don't like carrying extra tools with me.
