I have been lurking around for a while.

Which scales do you guys prefer, G10 or Micarta?

For a blade you are going to be using, not just collecting. Mainly based on feel and wear.

I'm going to be making my first Busse purchase with in a few days... if all goes well

Thanks for your input

I like both. It does not matter to me.
Wait for other opinions.
Welcome, too.

Micarta. Lighter and better feel.

G-10 can look great in many combo's and solid colors, and is as tough as it gets. Still like micarta better though.

G-10----tuffer, heavier, looks better, won't absorb fluids, and every bit as comfortable as micarta, YEA Baby!!!!

i would say g10, resistant to almost everything, and i think it feels better then micarta, and it is also available in black/tan!

I prefer the feel of Micarta for using, the vibrance (looks) of G10.

Then again I prefer the look of paper micarta over G10!

I prefer the look and feel of micarta especially for any user.

........But I like G10 too :)

I like G10 on collection pieces, but hate it for users. I am a Micarta guy, much more comfortable.

On Busses, the micarta has a natural grip to it, while the G10 is smooth, and gets its grip from the surface pattern. The micarta feels much better to me.

Micarta, micarta, micarta!!!

I dont understand why some of you say that for looks g-10 is the way to go.

I challenge anyone here to show me some g-10 that looks better than my micarta blades, anyone!!
