g10 or micarta???

this has probally been discussed a million times but i cant search the forums.
I now own 1 of every rat im planning on another rc-3 my question is g10 or canvas i hve a linnen one ive heard the canvas is more grippy than it can you guys help me dicide???:confused:
 
Are you having problems with the knives you have so far not being grippy enough? I would think that the canvas micarta would be more grippy than G-10, especially wet.
 
I find the G-10 to be "softer" to the touch, if that makes any sense.

My personal favorite is canvas though.
 
I like G10 but prefer Micarta for some odd reason. Micarta just does something for me that G10 doesnt.

no problems but i just want to know which to buy? i know micarta is more grippy but i like the colors of the od on IO so im really torn between the 2
 
The Orange handles are really great looking, better in person than in pics.

This is the Mrs. rig, it's really cool looking.

after seeing your set-up im leaning towards the g-10 who made that rig up for you

G10 is probably more robust. It doesn't absorb any moisture and is less prone to shrinkage or expansion than Micarta. I've soaked G10 in bleach with absolutely no effect (except to disinfect).

But canvas Micarta just feels better in my hand, will probably last as long as G10, and is simply better looking and has more class.
 
I went with the G10 purely for looks. The orange and OD combo looks really nice and I figure if I set it down in the woods it will be easy to find. I don't know how many times I have been gutting a deer, set my knife down, then spent two minutes trying to find it. Not this year.
 
I like micarta for comfort and looks but G10 seems to be more grippy. Also, I've noticed that G10 seems to be very resistant to chemicals, especially bug sprays containing deet, which tends to damage most plastics.
 
Generally I like Micarta more, but I do really like my orange RATs.

My first RC3 disappeared somewhere last week, so I am forced to use my OD and orange one. I like the G10 too.
