g10 pins vs micarta pins?

I'm curious as you which type of pins Fletcher Knives uses on his blades, micarta or g10 pins? And what are the pros and cons to using one over the other? Also curious if people know of anywhere that sells either of these that actually has it in stock. Thanks alot!

G10 rod stock is scarce in any color besides natural green. Some makers turn their own on a lathe so they can have different colors. Micarta rod is available from most knife suppliers (USAKnifemaker, Sheffield, Jantz, etc) as well as McMaster-Carr. Alpha Knife Supply sometimes has fiberglass rod in stock. I use carbon fiber rod stock quite a bit from DragonPlate and like it a lot.
