Couldn't get the search function to cooperate so I hope someone can answer my question. Are there flat ground, ATS 55, G10 police models without the boye dent or was I just not looking close enough when I seen one. If so, are these more or less rare/sought after? Thanks for your time. Take care.

Here are pictures of my G-10 Police ATS-55 models. Both are flat grind, one with Police engraved into the blade and and the other not. Both back locks have no Boye dent. The newer CF version does.

The last batch or batches of the full flat ground G-10 Police had Boye dents, the earlier ones did not. It would appear the ones with the dent are less common, since they are seen less often, but whether that makes them command a premium or not would be open to speculation. All I can say with certainty is that my personal bias against the Boye dent would make me less inclined to buy one which had it, but am sure there are those feel the opposite way, and those would would want to own both.

Thanks guys, I eventually found some additional info I was looking for. Just wanted to make sure the one I have is legit. Cheers.

Thanks for the link. Mine has no Boye dent, the single liner, crescent clip, engraved blade and is in the blue and white box. Cheers.
