Been out of the blade game for a while....

Found some spare spring steel the other day. Decided to try my hand at and forge a set of medium size fixed blades.

I'm about finished. The use its just the everything weekend knife since I managed to lose all 5 of my EDC/work knives. Gun range, camping, fishing, box knife what ever. Modern "Tactical" bush knife if you will..

Never had a knife with G10 but remember everyone was all about it a few years ago. It still the go to handle material? Not a fan of wood for my application.

Should I slap some G10 onto it? Or is that old news and is there something better on the market now?

What are you all going with?

Standard full tang fixed blade. About a 5" tanto, again do every knife.

G10, Micarta paper or linen all are popular.

G10 is not grippy when wet like micarta so keep that in mind.

Tero tuff is being used by quite a few now, supposed to be stronger than g10 by a good bit.

I find it to be the other way around.
G10 is a fantastic handle material. There may be something better, but it's hard to beat for your stated purpose. It's a bit heavy compared to others, and the dust is horrific, so take appropriate precautions when you cuut, grind and sand it. It will ruin a saw blade pretty fast too.
