I've handled the Para Military and love the G10 texture. Can someone please tell me if the Military is the same? I don't expect it on such a cheap knife but what about the Byrd Cara Cara G10. Sometimes I might need to do things with a cheap knife that I wouldn't even think of with one that cost a lot more.

Thanks for the help

Yes, the Military has the same G10. Spyderco specifies a higher grade of G10 for their knives.

Not the same G10 as Spyders, but still good, especially considering the price.

That's what Byrds are for ;)

I am thinking of getting a Wilson Tactical model 2. It comes with two handle options, desert iron wood, or black G10.I will contact Mr. Wilson and ask him if it he could use G10 for the handle. I have heard the pros and cons for both G10 and Micarda.
I have had experience with both handle materials, and my personal preference is G10, because it feel's like it will last longer than Micarda. I plan to use the knife as a general utility, camp, and tactical knife. So please help me! Which will take the most abuse and still be usable. What I really want is a handle material that will stand the the elements, temperature change, and will not crack or sustain any other damage that will make it unusable. By unusable I mean that I will not be able to hold the knife at the handle.
