After reading many posts saying how these two are comparable, I decided to do some testing this morning.
The definitive answer is that G10 is much stronger than canvas micarta (the toughest of the micartas).
Stuck 1/4" slabs of the same size between two bricks and hit it with a hammer, the canvas micarta broke in two hits. The G10 refused to break after 50. G11 is similar to G10, but G10 is still much stronger. Translucent grades of G11 mark easy, but refuse to break.
