what is it and why is it so strong? when I went after my RAMs clip with my prySTR, I was really gouging into the g10, but when I looked to see what damage I had done, they look brand spankin' new! This stuff is ridiculous!

I'd bet that there are different formulations, but generally G10 consists of layers of fiberglass soaked in resin, highly compressed, and baked hard. It's surprisingly similar to micarta but with different layer material.
It amazes me just how many different looks can be achieved with G10. Everything from the solid-color look of the black, green and tan handles of the ZT0300, ZT0301 and ZT0302 (even though they're machined), to the irridescent layered look of the polished G10 used on the 1660PGT Leek.
