ABOUT THE G2 Bandicoot

These are the 2nd generation of my Titanium tool. They are very similar to the G1 with a few significant changes. All of these have been neatly engraved "JW 2014" as a makers mark. They have a nice feel and "charm" to them due to the handmade factor. The first batch sold out fast and a second, larger batch is in the works now.

These all have nice swedges on them which both reduce the already light weight and give a little more functionality to the pry bars. The small corners, although not "sharp" could easily be used to open packages.

The changes include:

- They are slightly longer overall, just over 2.6 inches.

- I have added both 9/16 and 7/16 hex openings to previously unused areas.

- There has been simple jimping added to the top and bottom of the tool.

- Slightly thicker stock, coming in at .165 Still using 6al4v Titanium

- Still feature the forward traction hole for use of the flat head driver / pry tip

Finished by hand on a medium scotch brite belt, these feel great. They are almost feel soft from the sand blast / tumbled finish.

These all ship with a 0.5 Nite Ize S-Biner so they can easily be attached to a set of keys!

Shipping (Please Read)

Because of the size of these tools they can ship standard post with stamps. This means it saves you money but has NO TRACKING OR INSURANCE. The buyer agrees that I am not liable for loss or damage once the tool has shipped. For an additional $15, these can ship with both insurance and a tracking number. $15 is the cheapest option Canada Post offers for shipping that gives you insurance and tracking. I make no money by using this option.

Price - $39.00
(Includes Tool, Stickers, S-Biner, Paypal fees and Standard post shipping, Insured and tracked shipping will be extra)

Is there a model or variation that will accept or turn a 1/4" hex driver/bit?

Or is there a model/variant that has a slot that would turn multiple sized nuts? Such as a cutout that has stepped sizes?

I mean no disparity to this design, I am asking because those function might fit my personal needs better... I mean no disrespect to this design or maker- I am genuinely interested and curious.

I asked here, not via PM, because I figured other readers may have the same question.

Thank you, sir,

It would be a new design. I always playing with ideas / variations. Maybe in time something like you have described will be made!
Thanks

Again-please let me stress that I am not taking away from, or 'knocking' this design in any way shape or form, that is not my intention at all. In fact, just the opposite-it peaks my interest, and so much so, that I have already started to tweak or see what i would like to change for my own personal choices/ purposes.

That being said, I would have more use for:
1-instead of a 'forward traction hole' perhaps a hex hole that allowed/ fit a 1/4" hex bit. Or towards the rear maybe a separate hex hole placed there...
2- I only suggested a stepped, or different levels/sizes of nuts& bolt heads to be gripped. (Rather than simply the one or two sizes. This might also double the function and serve as the bottle opener because of its shape.

Just my two cents-and as I stayed at the beginning, these were just some thoughts that would make it more usable/ utilitarian for ME. I am sure others can make a case against these very same suggestions, or may have some of their own. But-the ability to turn a hex bit, or fit a bit extender to use a hex bit, and the ability to torq a range of hex heads rather than one or two.

If this never comes about, it certainly won't stop me from thinking of ordering one...those are just random thoughts/ suggestions from my perspective.

Are different finishes available an option ? Is Titanium anodization available as an option ?
