I always assumed Bushnell was better than Tasco
I think they're both mid-level consumer brands. I have at least one product from each one and have no complaints. Sometimes I get brands mixed up, it's Bausch & Lomb that is a better brand.

I always assumed Bushnell was better than Tasco
Bushnell owned the B&L brand rights for binoculars in the 70's and they were made in Japan at that time, from what I've seen they were equal to Bushnell and Tasco's best offerings at that time but I don't know how they compared to the early American made B&L binoculars.I think they're both mid-level consumer brands. I have at least one product from each one and have no complaints. Sometimes I get brands mixed up, it's Bausch & Lomb that is a better brand.

I posted a picture here of a driver set I put together. View attachment 2985044
Somebody mentioned it reminded them of the excelite sets. Which reminded me of my Dad’s Excelite tools he used at work. I hadn’t seen them in 20+years and assumed he sold or gave them away. So I started bottom trolling ebay for bargains and mismatched sets to put together. I don't like the smell, but it doesn't make me sick like some people, then there are also people who like the smell because it reminds them of their dads toolbox and helping him as a kid.I know some of the pictures on ebay I can smell them through my phone!
That’s why I like the sets with the single handle. Only one handle to smell. New handles are available. The bits are good forever if not abused.
I find airing the case out in the sun. Gets rid of the smell. I’m probably not as sensitive to it as some people.
I was right with you ...until this ^^^!Finally, I collect gears.
This is a major limiter for me, along with just not having much physical space left for ever more stuff !more disposable income
