Gain weight?

And drink extra water.
Increased protein intake can be hard on the kidneys if you don't ingest enough water.

No it can't, there has never been a study to coincide with this myth. If you have healthy kidneys you will be fine. If you have some sort of health issue that hasn't shown symptoms yet, then too much protein can be bad for your kidneys. And water has nothing to do with it, water intake comes into play if you take creatine.

As for protein shakes, make your own, don't buy those crappy pre-made things. Buy some whey protein, throw a scoop in two cups of milk. Add fruit or whatever else you want in the mix. Use a site like www.fitday.com to see how many calories you're eating right now, then add 200-300 to that while watching your sodium intake. If that doesn't get you gaining, add 200 more and watch for another week.

I have to eat 6000+ a day just to gain a pound or two a week, so I know how bad it sucks trying to gain weight.

woman & she made a potion & strained it through fresh pine needles & called it Pinetops tea. It was a fabulous mixture. Grandpa's appetite was better & he gained strength & vigor.

Patsy is in remission from her chemo & radiation & has no appetite. For breakfast yesterday she had black coffee & a cigarette.

Do you or anyone know of a tonic to stimulate appetites ?
I try to get her to eat just enough to stretch her capacity a bit but she has virtually no interest in eating.

Uncle Alan
