While creating this knife my intent was to make a cowboy era bowie knife I call the Wild Horse Bowie. After heat treating and polishing the blade for some reason I decided to change it into something a little more elegant. I was thinking of the same late 1800 time period but something a high end gambler or marshal might carry. I wanted the knife to be deadly if called into service but not look real intimidating. The steel is ATS-34 stainless with a 416 stainless guard pommel and collet and lots of file work. The handle is a nice selection of stabilized spalted maple.

Specs:
3/16 inch thick ATS-34 high carbon stainless steel.

Blade Length is 7 inches from tip to guard.

Overall Length is 12 inches

Guard, pommel and collet are 416 stainless steel

Handle is stabilized spalted maple scales on the knife’s full tang.

Brown tooled leather sheath (shown)

SOLD (Price is $240 plus $8 shipping)

I take PayPay (my account is kelley_ward2@agilent.com), major credit cards over the phone (707-479-2530), money orders and checks.

Thanks,
Kelley Ward

Very nice Kelley! It does have that look from an earlier time period yet it's definitely elegant!!

Hello and thanks bones555 and drducati. The knife’s balance point is right at the guard. If it's laid on its side on one finger at the middle of the guard the knife balances neutrally.

Kelly,
I got the bowie and I have to say it's nicer than I expected. .Bigger too. Nicely done knife. Well finished and nice in hnad. Bigger than a user these days. It will be good for "cowboy action" etc. My brother would kill me for it. Thanks
