This is a meat sculpting knife I designed as part of the "tree hugger" series. The main concept of this was to have a knife that could do the work associated with cleaning deer/trimming fat and other connective tissue, and still be versatile enough to carry in the woods as a large companion knife.
Instead of grinding it like a traditional recurve with a following grind line, I chose to keep it straight in order for the main curved part leading to the tip to be a tad thicker for running into bone, etc.
Specs- 12" oal with a 6.25 edge length. 1/4" 5160. Spine on top of handle is slightly exposed with a rocked spine. Hollow ground. Handle is Camo G10 with removable screws for easy maintence and cleaning. Finish is apoc.
Sheath is 8oz with goat lining. Back plate is bolted on and has beaver pelt stitched to the front side of 8oz leather with clip.
