Got a little bored tonight, so I tried to improve my new Double Cut GW... I got a REALLY good deal on this one (thanks Brian), so it wasn't quite as scarry to try...

Was hoping to sculpt the handles a bit to lose that "stubby" look. It didn't turn out too bad -- I actually like the feel of it better. I need to do a little more, but felt like I better stop and look at it for a day or two before going any further. (Was a little afraid of repeating Tim's Red "Clip" Warden special :D )

Interesting - nice work.

Looks like your Warden has been hitting the gym. Slimed down and buffed out!! :D

Wow that looks great. You did an awesome job with that. It's subtle visually, but I bet there's a big difference in feel. I skipped to the pictures first and initially I couldn't tell what you changed.

Right on! You've inspired me to try it; I don't have much experience grinding G-10. What did you do?

BTW, where'd you get the cool pants from? I like the texture and the metallic color. Who did it?

Just took some off the bottom of the handle/tang. I think I'll take just a little more in the mid and rear, then smooth it out. I was trying to avoid taking any from the top.

Sheath is from Dave Brown (Buy Brown) -- in carbon fiber. He's easy to find and great to deal with.

Just used a grinding wheel and went slow. When the handle gets fairly warm to the touch, dipped it cold water for a few seconds, then back at it. Just go slow and try to keep things even (a little here, a little there - rather than big chunks at a time.)

Nice work! Now go use it and let me know when to come over for that yummy little "TOWM" (The Other White Meat) ;) :D

Hey, is micarta pretty dangerous too -- i mean the dust? I think i read that somewhere before... I've been wearing a face mask when sanding it, but man that stuff turns to fine powder and ends up everywhere.

Looks great. But I don't want mine slimmed down at all. What I want is jimping on the top and bottom near the blade to better grab the thumb and forefinger. I think that would make for a much more secure grip.

Unfortunately, mine is a Yellow and I don't think the crinkle will like being jimped much:(

New to INFI and loving it!

For whatever reasons, the handles on the Wardens seem 'just right' for me. From the thick Tigers on down, I really LIKE the feel -- seems to just fit my palm.

So, despite the fine examples I've seen recently, I think I'll leave my Wardens as they are.:D

Holding fast in Ole Virginny.

Thanks Boss.

I'm enjoying carrying this little guy --- giving the LRS a rest. It's about as "sheeple" friendly as a fixed blade can be.

oooooooooooh..... gw's have tall blades... I bet you (or whomever) could make a nice recurve mod out of it to get rid of the choil.....

Dang it Seth! You're right. That would be sweet.

Hmnn, but it sounds like a dangerous mod for me --- i better think about that one... Where's Bill?
