Game Warden Popularity

I follow the Exchange pretty closely and I don't see many Game Wardens up for resale. I'm only a piglet but I know some models are more popular than others. I was lucky enough to get a CS Game Warden from Voracious not too long ago but haven't seen many since then and I really enjoy the GW design. Got a couple 311 in grab bag so that's nice.

Why are so few Game Wardens moved on? What other models (other than rare/older grails) do you guys think are hard to get?

MOAB seems tough to find although I saw one on the exchange not too long ago.
 
Game wardens are handy little pieces of infi. I'd sure have a hard time finding a reason to let one go.
 
I've been hoping for a BG Game Warden in O2W or a Mud Puppy...I need some EDC!
 
Game warden's are a great knife, but I'd actually consider them fairly commonplace on the exchange (except for the Fatty 0.27" version). There are of course many more O2W knives and such on the exchange nowadays, but GW's still pop up a lot. There are a lot of older releases that are very rarely seen, and tend to get snatched up right away when they hit the exchange unless the price is crazy.

I felt like that MOASK was on the exchange for longer than I thought it would have lasted.
 
I just picked up a beauty tiger hide game warden off of the exchange, it was pricy but i have been looking for quite a while and forked over the asking price. soon as i got it i realized why the fellow couldn't let it go for cheaper...awesome little knife (won't be leaving my possession anytime soon) they do come up but you have to wait for the one you want and be quick to make the offer. procrastination doesn't fly with the hogs.
 
GW is the INFI gateway drug for a lot of us...it was for me, too.

SARsquatch is pretty hotly coveted, and only occasionally sighted...

Most every Busse addict won't feel complete until they acquire an AK47 in one form or another...

HG55's seem to slop some HOG's troughs...

And there's one Busse, that's so rare, it's taboo to even .... oops! :eek: I may have already said too much...:o
 
I have lots and lots of Game Wardens (a complete set of the original run and then some). I've listed some on the Exchange now and then, but haven't listed any recently mainly because they weren't selling, at least not at the prices that I was used to seing them sell for.

I did the same thing with a SAR 3 recently, I don't see those come up much. I told myself "Yeah, it's more than you want to spend, but when is the last time you saw one for sale? And with G10." I tend to prefer G10. And now it's mine. I was able to pick up a SAR 4 LE as well. I love me some SAR's. Full flat grind, convex edge, conservative drop point, jimping (I like this on EDC/sub-5in blades) and rounded corners like the NM treatment, what's not to love!. I don't see too many Tank Busters either.

HG55 is definitely one I have in my sights. Although now every time I think of them I get sad for TheMtnMan.
 
I only have a few game wardens. Used to be my edc for work. Great knives

Thank you :(( i still get bummed out whenever i come across a pic of them on my phone.
(Plzz forgive me for hijacking a thread)
Quick update few weeks back i was reading a local news paper about a Drug Busted accross town, and in the picture of confiscated items i spoted a few of my things lol still working on getting them back, No Busse"s though, but im hoping once the Cops start pulling on this thread, itll all come apart, and hopefully at some point they do find them. The Numbered HG55 LE #69 would be the esiest to spot.

My daughter still asks me at least once a week if I got her GW back yet, a .27 Fatty Satin with Tigerhide

No worries brother. Glad you have what may be a lead finally. Sad part if you don't get them back whomever ends up with them probably won't even know what they have or appreciate them.

Sounds like your daughter appreciates a fine blade though!
 
Old school MS. (.25+) It's been awesome From cutting rope to prying open doors. Unstoppable, and holds a heck of an edge. Good knife! The game warden is a lot lighter , but the extra blade length on this is worth it.
 
This might seem wierd but I actually sold my .14 satin and Red G-10 warden and my CG warden and kept my skelly warden for a better EDC. To me I felt like the handles really throw the balance off for me. The skelly is underrated I think in Busse land.
