Gander Moutain cutlery counter disappearing?

I was shopping at gander mountain and noticed that their knife selection has not changed at all in the last 5 months.

They have fewer and fewer "premium" knives. (knives with steel better than 440A, AUS-8, 420HC, knives from boker, spyderco, non red class bencmades, high end bucks, high end kershaws, etc.)

most of the "premium" knives they do have are on deep discount, like better than low overhead online prices.

Has anyone else noticed the same thing?

DISCLAIMER- I am not saying that inexpensive Buck, CRKT, Ka-Bar, or Kershaw knives are bad, just that that's all gander Mtn seems to be carrying.

Got a Benchmade Outbounder from the one in York PA. I'm going to go back up there to get a Kabar on sale and a Grohmann.

I know part of the reason that there are fewer and fewer premium knives is because I've been buying them. But you would think they would replace them.

I sent them a letter a while back politely saying that their selection is shrinking and to please not do away with the counter. I guess It had some effect because their selection of bubble cased stuff got replenised recently. no display case knives though. chives, scallions, benchmade red class, leeks, and leatherman knives are in stock.
