I stupidly epoxied together a stacked hidden tang knife handle without checking the fit of the bolster parts. Now I've got a small, but ugly gap between the two parts of the steel bolster. I'm looking for a way to fill the gap - the only product I've found is called Permabond HH167. http://www.permabondllc.com/TDS/HH167_TDS.pdf

With wood, I'd simply use the sawdust and superglue method. Will this work with steel dust and superglue?

Post a pict so we have a better idea of what is going on

If I am understanding you right, I had the same issue a few months back. What I did and it might possibly be an option for you, was I took a small file and made the seam both wider and deeper all the way around. I then took some dyed epoxy, filled the gap and sanded flush. It gave it the appearance of a spacer between the pieces.

As others have noted, photos would likely help you get even better advice.

Good luck,
Chris
