Email sent. For those that get gar skin from me be sure and post pics of what you used it for. I'm sure many others would like to see how it looks. I have a lot of bowfishing friends who like gar and I know I could get skin from them. I will probably be shooting in the Medina Lake Tournament being held October 13th so I am sure I can come back with a lot of gar. If yall find some local bowfisherman in your area I am sure you can talk to them about getting gar skin from them. I'm just supplying what I have and I'm doing all the tanning myself. I shoot gar cause I love the taste of the meat. :D

I'll make sure it doesn't smell. Email me your address and I will send some to you as soon as i get them tanned. Then you can just send me a money order for the shipping.

I'm not sure but it should be about $10 or less. I will be heading to moms today with my gar and start on the tanning process either today or tomorrow. I might head to the river to see if I can't get a few more. I have about 30-35lbs of gar meat in the freezer but I have a bunch of recipes I want to try. One of them is a crab boil recipe and you chill the gar after it has been cooked and eat it with cocktail sauce. Supposed to taste just like crab meat.

We have Gar here in Indiana in White River. And they get very big like that. Now I am going back into the shop and work on a knife. Order's are up right now. See you all later, on the computer. :D

IMO this is a heck of a deal. I'm doing all the tanning and all you are paying for is the shipping. I don't know how I will ship it yet. I have to see how well it acts after it has tanned. If I start getting too many orders I will probably have to start charging a small fee. The real reward for me getting these gar is the fight they put up when I'm shooting them and then eating them afterwards.

Youre a better man than me J. I'll be dammed if I would skin a fish, tan it and package it up for a bunch of people I dont know and then wait by the mail box for a payback check for the shipping cost.

I give people the benefit of the doubt. They screw me over once and its over. I know some of the people I will be sending to. IF IG wanted any I wouldn't charge him since I still owe him $7 for the WI he sent me. If I know the person or know about the person I will send first and ask for money afterwards but for the few that I don't know I will ask them for the money upfront.

If anyone is interested in some I have a good amount. All of mine is off of 4-5 foot long nose gar which is an aqua green or white or a fade of the two. I might have some spotted gar which is kinda yellowish with black spots or dark green. I think It would look really cool on a sheath. Use it like you would snake skin.

I would like to see some skins you've got. Please send me a message or email me.
