Found this in my moms garage while cleaning up as a teen. She said it belonged to my father. I think it’s an early model Buck 110 as it has no dots? What’s interesting is that each wood panel has a different shade. One side dark wood other side much lighter. Thinking about sending it in for the spa treatment...

The following chart should help you date your Buck 110: https://www.buckknives.com/about-knives/how-old/

Take note of the "dot" references for the 110/112 at the bottom of the chart. If your knife is the one pictured above, no dots on either side of the model # would indicate that it was made probably made in 1972 or 73.

It's got rounded bolsters. They didn't come along till the middle (?) 80s. The bolsters on my late 70s 110 and 112 are squared like this one.

Well, its a really nice find either way. There is nothing more exciting than finding any type of knife somewhere!

The earlier Buck 110 had the stamp running vertically near the spine of the blade. There is plenty of info and charts on the web for dating a Buck 110.

Yep the rounded bolsters are a mystery. Someone might have rounded them. Also it looks like a three line early blade but i know some of the later year markings like the dash that would be to the right of the 110 on one of my knives is very faint.
A full picture would make a difference as the 70’s knife that blade indicates would have 2 small brass pins I believe.

ill post a link to my album of pics. i cannot for the life of me figure out how to post pics from flickr

The link above contains about 5 or 6 good photos of the knife in question. any feedback would be much apreciated. ill also be sending it in for the spa treatment and may include a note asking for info on the year it was made if they know.
