I was browsing the McMaster-Carr website and saw these phenolic laminates. Not many color options, but is this the same G-10 that is used for knife handles? www.mcmastercarr.com

It might be the same. I have seen that, too and it comes in a few different colors. Maybe alan folts can help us out, I know he has some of the phenolic laminate and that type of thing.

It's more likely micarta, as g10 is made from epoxy and micarta is made from phenolic resin. It still should make good handles.

Oops, went back and checked. They have laminates with phenolic and epoxy. The G-10 is made with epoxy. They have all kinds of stuff I've never heard of- G-7, G-9, G-11, G-30. Just wondering.
