Great, now I have to drive 998 miles for the best cheese curds. I thought 203 miles to get lunch at Buc-cees was bad enough……
Don't read this - This is not for you.
Had the curds at the ReelWood Kitchen little bit ago, Jerry really didn't play it up as much as he could have.
Lets start with the outer shell - A round, crispy, firm really dry, not oily in the least. You bite into them and the crusty, caramelized outer coating of hot honey infused panko. It's thin outer breading breaks like a fragile shell when the soft, melted cheese curd flows out, like lava cake. The Cherry Jalapeno dipping sauce has a sweet cherry forward with the hint of spice and heat. It is quite frankly, delectable.
This is not the rubbery, squeaky, bouncy and tasteless curd you're used to, this is amazing what it is. If I have had these first time ever? I'm be insulted to try what are normally sold as fried curd, they are not ion the same category of description. I could eat a pound of these things before I came out of the trance to ask "where did they all go?" ...
In summary, I now understand Jerry's "100% Approved" from the compound - I don't know how anyone could not like these.
I told you not to read this Grav ~ ... Your comment was one of my first thoughts.... I went, "oh.....no....I can't lie about this" Sorry - f'n amazing and I think cheese curds are in the "Disgusting" category.
