Gary Shaw passed away on 11-1-2004

Steve,

First, a nice welcome to this forum. Glad to have another icon involved in discussions. Please stick around! :)

What touching and honest remarks. Thanks for the tasks you and Karen have done and the spiritual work that you helped lead. No, I wasn't there, or a close friend, but I can appreciate what needed to be done. Kudos.

Also glad to know we'll all be seeing Grazyna and the fine wares once again. I'll make it a first visit in NYC in a week, if she is there. As well as your own table (The Pen & Sword Ltd.)

Warmly,

Coop

I have had the pleasure to call Gary and Grazyna close dear friends for years, his passing is hard and will be hard, part of the fun of doing shows, were the hanging out after the show, steaks in Atlanta, sushi in oregon, we always had great times. Not only was Gary a close friend in the knife business, he was one of my best friends in my personal life. He always had great advice, and he genuinely cared. I will never forget him!! I spent this last weekend with Grazyna at the house, I had planned to fly in to see gary, but he apparently had others plans, but I want all to know that Grazyna is doing well, your kind words and thoughts are appreciated, she will continue to carry on the shaw family knife business, and she will do well. those of you who are attending the New york show, stop by and say hello, she mentioned that she might be putting a book out for friends to leave a thought in writing about gary. so to my " POP" i say I love ya, you will always be with me. Your son, JEFF
