There's been a site "on construction" forever, called Quintessential Cutlery. I tried e-mail owner Gary Shaw based on the link on the page but my message bounced back. Anyone knows what's happening here?

Funny, I spent an hour on the phone with Gary yesterday. A very knowledgable knife guy. A well kept secret in Internet circles, he has some amazing knives.

Gary Shaw has been a player in high-end handmade knives for a long time.
In this business, endurance and "staying power" mean alot.

He always has some really nice Henry bowies.

Good point.

If Gary is at a show, his table always rates an early stop for me. I may not be able to afford most of the stuff, but he always has some top end and sometimes very famous knives with him. Just getting to see some of them in person is a thrill.
