About to start a new blown air gas forge build using a 12" piece of steel pipe 9" Dia.
Will give it 2" Kaowoal first followed by rigidizer, but the more I research the more uncertain I become about the liner. Satanite, a mortar,- a couple thin layers with curing between coats or a castable refractory cement? I've heard good and bad about each. Some of the castables that I can easily access here in Ontario are: Vesuvius super 3000, and Imperial, I don't plan on doing any welding in it, and I may or may not apply ITC-100. Oh and also, would I be better with the #6 or #8 wt blanket?
Thanks for all advice, Grant
