gas forge question ?

i have a 2 can furnace with 2 jth7 burners it gets plenty hot enough,but it uses way too much fuel to keep using the 2lb cans i want to hook it up to a 20lb grill tank. i bought a coleman tee that screws into the grill tank and has two male small 2lb ends. so i can screw my jth7's on to the tee and screw the tee into the grill tank. my question is this, can i hook it up like this or do i need a regulator in-between the 20lb tank and the tee? thanks....willy:)
 
Hey Willy!! What's up buddy? Did you sort this out yet? I want to do the same, as you know, I have the same forge as you. Let me know how it works.
 
what kind of regulator do i need? can i get variable reg.? what are the correct flow capabilities to get the maximum use and efficency while maintaining a safe set-up? i guess what i mean is do you vary the pressure or is it a standard flow? and if it is variable what is the safe range?......thanks,willy
